Permit Requirements
Accepted Documentation:
- Only a current water bill or electric bill is accepted.
Exception:
Renters and individuals sharing a water meter must provide:
- A water bill, even if it reflects the landlord’s name;
- An electric bill reflecting the service address; and
- A rent receipt showing payment to the individual listed on the water bill.
- Applicants must provide a valid Driver’s License or Texas Identification Card.
- If the name on the water bill differs from the applicant, the Driver’s License or Texas Identification Card of the person listed on the water bill must also be provided.
- A previously issued permit sticker must be returned when there is a change in vehicles or replacement of a windshield. A replacement permit sticker will not be issued unless the previous sticker is returned.

Permit Applications and Payment
- Initial permit applications and payment must be completed in person.
- Cash and money order payments are no longer accepted.
Permit Renewals
- Permit renewals must be completed online.
- Online payment is required for all renewals.

- Credit or Debit Card ($2.50 transaction fee)
